When a company introduces a new smartphone on the market, this is of course technically always better than its predecessor. But what exactly does this mean for the consumer? I as Galaxy Note 2 owners currently considering switching to the Grade 3. Why this is so, you can find out here.
The Galaxy Note 2 is a really good phablet and was previously almost perfect for me. And then came the Grade 3. In the past, a few updates to the device I have a bit put off (regional SIM lock, eFUSE chip, shaky home button), so my initial euphoria has been minimized through the device something. However, I think the score 3 for an incredibly good part, which shall gladly replace my grade 2. Here are a few reasons why this is so:
The main technical specifications

Design
As already written in my detailed Galaxy-Note-3 test, I really like the design very well. At the polycarbonate optics of Note 2 (and virtually all others) I’ve seen me now really tired of the leather look of grade 3 and the associated benefits (no smudges and fingerprints, comfortable feel in the hand, higher-quality appearance etc.) make the score 3 in terms of design clear to my favorites.
Display
I had a long time nothing at 5.5 inches large display of grade 2 fault. Until I saw then the display of grade 3. The colors on the latter have at full brightness stage an intense luminosity, the contrasts are very high and everything just looks extremely good. This may prove to be slightly oversaturated color representations may lead, in this case, the brightness but also simply turn down.
In contrast, the Grade 2 now looks almost kinda pale, but the fall in the direct comparison more weight than if you look at the score 2 alone. One gets accustomed to fast on improvements. Here, then, and a further development in note 3, in contrast to its predecessor, is clearly visible.
Dimensions and weight
Personally I do not care if the display in Note 3 now is 0.2 inches larger, than is the case with the score 2. Both display sizes I find really great, so I probably will for the time being no longer in a “normal” smartphone “measly” 4.7 inches and less change will / can. Much more important is that the device is not greater per se . With the score 2 for me is actually the maximum size is reached, since I never really part may still quite good navigate with one hand through the menu. Anything larger (eg Sony Xperia Z Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Mega, HTC One Max), me is just too big and then must have been a real tablet ago.
Fortunately, Samsung has managed the Dimensions to leave the note becomes larger display with almost identical. The Grade 3 is indeed 0.1 millimeters longer, but is 1.3 millimeters narrower and 1.1 millimeters thin. In addition, the Grade 3 with 168 grams of whole 15 grams lighter than its predecessor. Here, too, at least for me a clear victory for the note 3. There is so to speak. 3: 0
Power
Chill the score 3 runs a little faster and cleaner than the touch 2, but that should above all be related to the much more data are stored on my Grade 2, than hitherto in Note 3 of the case. Thus, apps open faster and the service works smoothly.
For those benchmarks like, here are the results of AnTuTu and Quadrant for both devices. Suffice it to say: The figures are Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 is clearly noticeable
