[Mod] Viper 4 FX and Xhifi, Hammer Sound Mod! - PocketPC.ch

One of the Xda co-manager, Zuhang, has now published the official release of its new Android audio driver.

… Have tested it on my touch 2, and I must say, the hammer, really the best I’ve tested, to others after numerous disappointments with Acid, MBB, Awesome beats and several. ..

Here is the link to the original thread at Xda

Mod to itself:

There are two versions, Fx and XHIFI …
The former is more likely for people who play with effects, second is more reasonable for clear sound with eq settings.
… But you can use both flat and only partially make settings also. ….

installation:

Unzip the zips, install the zip with Android 4.x, and the apk for Note2. When you first start the app will install both the driver, select here for the Grade 2 Cortex A9 with neon
Then both apps to “Compatible Mode” switch via the Menu button and start the phone again.
… Now should the mod compatible Settings / sound / music effects, if you have already installed other mods that exist and are available. Even the mods are compatible with all audio players. … I use the Player Gone Mad …..

It is best to turn off the eq from the player, and only use the eq of the Viper 4 driver. … as a tip. ..

A special feature of Fx are the Impulse Response files. This sound was virtually modeled characteristics of different devices. In Op’s are left to libraries, where you can download various files irs. Unpack the zip, and copy sdcard0/viper4/Kernel. Then they are automatically available in Fx to choose from. ….

Super are also in the dynamic range, so the bass booster settings for different headphones, and a tube simulator to virtually recreate tubes sound behavior. ..

Here, I give no hints how to set the eq, because that is a matter of taste. But I have never had such a massive bass over ear headphones without distortion. …. while still being clear sound. .. .

I really think the Viper the best sound mod I’ve heard on Android. So highly recommended. ….
