Galaxy Note 4 in a new look: Samsung wants to change design – Curved

After the Galaxy S5 is before the Galaxy Note 4 – and that could be very exciting. Yoon Han-kil, head of Samsung’s product strategy department, announced on Wednesday in an interview with Reuters a “new form factor” for the next note-on devices. The recent patents the company already provide an insight into which direction the smartphone could develop.

How far the design change will go with the Galaxy Note 4, let Yoon open in the interview, because other than the notice he let himself elicit no further details. Phandroid took this statement as an opportunity to remind everyone of two patents: they show a smartphone, its display being bent around the side edges. What devices Samsung patents but in the end really works is unclear.

designer Smits Jermaine turned this form on the Galaxy Note 4, Ivo Maric made it, however, a Galaxy S5. From the latter we now know though, that the patented design not yet been applied here. On the render graphics of Maric is the highlight of the patent, the slightly curved around at the lateral edges display, but a bit more visible than on the designs of Smits.

Whether this innovation is actually implemented in the Galaxy Note 4 is not yet fully open. However, the device would thus stand out clearly both of its predecessors as well as from the competition – and in exactly this step aims Yoon’s statement
