Samsung Galaxy S3 & Note 2: release of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update - Price Just News

As the Australian mobile operator Telstra has announced to customers on its website recently, Samsung is the Android version 4.2.2 and Jelly Bean instead, skip directly the new version Android 4.3 for the older smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 or the Galaxy S3 roll. Telstra has now withdrawn this message again. Now there is speculation whether the Android 4.3 update will be canceled.

  • Telstra has so far not yet commented officially on why the update schedule has been completely removed. According to our colleagues from the IBTimes Samsung is currently struggling with massive problems in porting the firmware for its own smartphones. Accordingly, it has been assumed that Samsung completely skip 4.2.2 and Jelly Bean instead directly Android 4.3 for the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 will roll.

This assumption was confirmed when the Australian mobile provider Telstra had published an official update schedule on their own support website recently. This showed that Jelly Bean 4.2.2 definitely not rolled and Samsung is instead directly publish Android 4.3.

Since Telstra has this information, however, now removed, many users fear that could possibly Android 4.3 for the Samsung Galaxy does not touch 2 and the Galaxy S3 appear. Samsung could therefore directly update to Android 4.4. Google has already officially announced the Andorid 4.4 update called “KitKat”. It is questionable why the Australian provider has withdrawn all references to the publication of the latest Android firmware. In addition to the announcement by Telstra itself recently, the German Telekom has said on the subject.

the support forum a telecom employee has confirmed that Jelly Bean will be rolled out 4.2.2 for the Samsung Galaxy Note neither 2 nor for the Galaxy S3. However, this should be appearing in September Android 4.3. This forum entry is not yet cleared, but so far is still no official statement from Telekom. In return, Jason Mackenzie, president of HTC has personally spoken out and confirmed that Android 4.3 will be available in early October for the latest HTC one. However, it remains to be seen if and when Android 4.3 will be rolled out for the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3.
