CyanogenMod 11: Milestone 2 brings Android Kitkat to 65 devices - Mobile Area

The Android custom ROM CyanogenMod has been released in a new version. The second milestone of 11 CyanogenMod brings Android 4.4.2 Kitkat on many smartphones and tablets, including the HTC One XL, Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy S3 and Sony Xperia Z.

Pretty exactly one month ago, that the first official CyanogenMod version based on Google’s new operating system Android 4.4 Kitkat appeared. This first Milestone brought a mostly stable version on the devices in the Nexus series, owners of other smartphones and tablets looked initially either in the tube or to search for alternative firmwares to. Now a second Milestone is available for download, and this is available for a total of 65 different smartphones and tablets – different provider models included. As the Cyanogen team had already announced that the new firmware already contains the two Kitkat updates that were distributed in December.

CyanogenMod is 11 M2 already available for the Samsung smartphones Galaxy S, S2, S3 and S4 as well as note 2, as well as for the 2012 model of the tablet Galaxy Note 10.1. Have also been honored with a version of the LG Optimus G and G2, Sony’s Xperia Z and ZR, as well as the HTC One XL and the Acer Iconia Tab A700. For other devices, the Milestone will also be available in the near future, even if has not been announced which smartphones and tablets, including falling concrete.
